Lizotte Signed to One Year Extension

Wow, why would he sign for less than last year? Seems like a slap in the face on the part of the Org...on the surface anyway. I'd be interested on whose camp was behind the 1 year deal. Anyway, really glad to see the team was willing to commit something to him.
 
The writing is on the wall, he's got great competition at cenrer position, so if he wants to stick around in LA he has to either prove himself or be an extraordinary deal.

I'm happy he's sticking around--although he's not a Powerhouse, he gives it all every shift and we need that hussle and determination.

Correct me if I’m wrong but does Lizotte have to be signed in order to be exposed in the expansion draft? I thought I read this somewhere..
 
I am happy for Lizotte. Hope his role is a practice player and mostly a healthy scratch.
 
Love his effort, but if you look at him hard enough you can bounce him off the puck heading into a board battle.
 
Placeholder deal for a marginal player. I believe he will be put on waivers after training camp.

Every time he's on the ice I hear this in the background:



I like the kid...tough as nails, gives 100% every shift...but this signing reeks of either stupidity or ulterior motive.

Previous contract was a 2-way contract. NHL salary was $925K AHL salary was $70K. New contract is one way $800K.
 
I would love to make 800,000 a year for holding on to a puck too long before getting thrashed along the boards.

Kid works hard every single game. Kings are giving him a chance to earn a spot but gotta believe his days are numbered as a King
 
If Lizotte is playing full time at the end of this coming season i'll be shocked.
 
No question Blake plays hard....but he doesn't score and he doesn't help others score. IMO he's a healthy scratch most nights
