MacDermid to Kraken - Confirmed

Looks like it's correct. This is a best case scenario to me... of course, I'm sure a lot of the guys Vegas got looked similar and then turned their entire career around.
 
I guess Francis wants some sandpaper. There's at least a handful of of players I would have selected before Mac.
 
If I could have picked anyone, it would've been MacD, but now as a Kings fan I can't help but think... wait, what did they know about MacD that we didn't?
 
Well, I guess the Kings own-goals against will drop next year.

I'm wondering if the Kings gave them something to take him. Opens up a roster spot for Clague/Wolanin, so this really helps the Kings. Smells like a deal was made.
 
Totally ok with this. Surprised they chose this many D, and MacD over Clague, if they wanted more D.
 
I think best case scenario for the Kings here other than Seattle plucking one of the Ontario Reign players that were available (I.E. Boko, Rymsha, etc.). I know the Kings players like having MacDermaid in the lineup for the protection, but Blake can acquire another guy like that, preferably a 4th line winger rather than D-Man spot. Let’s be honest, MacDermaid was a 7th defenseman at this point and would of been pushed out eventually as the Kings got better players.
 
There is no way Seattle would be this stupid. Is Blake going to have to give them some draft picks or whatever?

My thinking exactly. I bet they traded a pick and/or an exempt player like Dudas, Chromiak, Madden, Simontaival, Nousiainen, or Phillips.
 
I just heard this on XM radio right now as well. Looks like the best possible scenario for us.

From a fan perspective, i like this, but read he was a big presence in the locker room. Guys really liked having him around. Im sure he's going to be missed.
 
So are we gonna be mad when we find out blake gave up a 5th for them to take him?
