I am deeply disappointed in the Kings and Luc.

Bergevin was the Director of Player personnel when Aldrich assaulted their players and the team covered it up.

Then he drafted Mailloux.

He's not someone I would ever listen to advice from.

If I were employed by the Kings I think I'd quit.

This is just so…. Odd. I mean it’s a lot of things, but mainly it’s odd.

We don't have an assistant GM at the moment. Is he auditioning for that job?

Honestly there's less repugnant ways for Bergevin to get health insurance...

Anyone else wondering why the AGM spot is still vacant?

Who knows what he knew or didn't know about that other stuff. I just think the guy was a terrible GM....so, yeah, I'm not sure what "advice" he can give Blake nor do I want him anywhere near the GM position if Blake gets canned.

Theo Fleury thinks he knew. Brent Sopel thinks "everyone" knew. Nick Boynton thinks "everyone" knew.

He sure as **** knew about Mailloux.

There are things that transcend sports and someone's ability to do a job. These are two of those things.

Just saying. Here in california our Govenor ligten the sentences for child molestors, rapists, murders, and so on because his followers beleive in giving second chances to societies scum and there is no uproar about it from California residents, yet Burgevin choose to give that hockey player a second chance be it that he makes a mends for his actions and yet the concesses is that he shouldn't be given a second chance. I am all for the punishment fitting the crime. But equally for consistency in how criminals are veiwed. If child molesters and so are being let off the hook, then why not this hockey player. I am not saying it is right but you cannot crucify one group and let the other off.

I don't know how politics figures into this.

1st...Mailloux asked not to be drafted.

2nd...Mailloux didn't earn a 2nd chance. I'm all for earned 2nd chances, not for ones that are given to people who haven't shown authentic remorse or done ANYTHING to show he learned from it. He did a disgusting thing that has partly ruined a young woman's life. I've followed this and he's done absolutely nothing to earn a 2nd chance.

So Bergeron did TWO bad things with one act.

I want to clarify. I am not saying what Malloux did was right, it was definately wrong and am all for holding people accountable for their actions. I guess the strugle is when is it sufficient to give someone a second chance because i have a problem with people who commit very bad crimes against people getting a second chance.

Given the Kings stance on Voynov i.e. issues with women, I find it a bit disconcerting they hired a guy that drafted Mailloux.

So MY answer to that is "when the person shows they've earned the 2nd chance."

It's a sliding scale. If a guy steals $100 from me it's easier to earn a 2nd chance than if he takes a sex pic of my daughter and shares it in a way that anyone can see it. For Mailloux is starts with an authentic apology to the victim and as of the last time I looked it up she didn't believe he was authentic in any way and what he said he had done fell so far short it actually made it worse. The kind of thing that makes me want to give a guy who did what he did a 2nd chance is for him to talk to women who've had that happen to them and then do things to advocate for them.

I'm not saying Mailloux shouldn't get a 2nd chance. But he hasn't done the things that would earn that 2nd chance as of now...and sure as **** hadn't done them when Bergeron drafted him.

So with Blake extended does this mean he wanted this? Like to me it feels like well I’ll re sign But I want an experienced assistant?
