Mayors manor with Kelly Cheeseman

Always good to hear Kelly on the show. A couple of highlights:

Third jersey (probably with the crown on front) will likely be coming for 2025-26 season.

Considered using the crown on center ice but landed on the new (old) logo

Radio games on 710am locally will not be a simulcast, different crew to be announced soon

They continue to look at streaming options as the landscape is changing quickly. They still have a good relationship with Bally’s, the group they work with is not part of the bankruptcy. Things could even be different before start of season.

No preseason games next season either as they will be completing the final phase of crypto renovation.

New sponsor for white jerseys to be announced soon. Not a current Kings sponsor.

Hoven brought up the concept of a ring of honor for other impactful Kings players that won’t get a retired jersey. Kelly stated they are looking for ways to create nostalgia and honor those players in a permanent manner.

Bud light cans (see separate thread) are coming soon. TBD on locations, but expect wide area to carry them. Bud will make a map available showing locations at some point soon.

Important for kings to have good relationship w ballys. But ballys relationship to the customers don't matter I guess.
And by association, the Kings make it appear they don’t care about the fan experience as well.

Was thinking the exact same thing when I read Kelly's comment. No recognition at all of the fan experience with Ballys' or the financial burden it places on fans.

It's sickening that the Ducks are so far ahead when it comes to foresight and acknowledging the needs of their fans.

I'm very confident the Kings understand the challenges, especially Kelly who pays attention to social media. When I said making it appear they don't care, that's more of an "optics" thing vs what the reality is. That being said, it's probably not as easy to just flip the switch and make a change for the Kings. I'd practice patience, things may change sooner than later. We may just have to ride it out for another season which is fine with me given I don't stream, I watch via directv.

I'm glad you are confident because I am not. Everything from the fan appreciation night selections, giveaways, broadcasting service, poor player and coach budget management, ever increasing ticket prices while putting a mediocre product on the ice and overall direction hasn't excited me as of late. It really feels like it is all about the money, and optically trying to pacify fans while not really caring about the team's success or fan experience. To allow the Ducks to beat them to the punch by airing their games on local channels just shows how out of touch they truly are.

Seems like they are focusing on today and forgetting about the future.

So basically a Legends night like they did in the past? We still never got a Ziggy Palffy one if I recall correctly.
