Meanwhile, in Chicago...

Seeesh that was a tough read. I wonder if we will ever know who John Doe or Black Ace 1 are. Haven't read on any speculation but what a ****ing scumbag that video coach is.

The hawks should have handled this better instead of trying to cover it up. There was no way this would be sweapt under the rug Nore heads are going to roll over this. Quinville looks like he made contradicting statements on this. He might be out too.

I've been following this on HF, absolutely disgusting in every aspect. Coach Q amongst others have another thing coming!

Yeah, who do they think they are? The NFL?

based on the pseudonyms and the conversations/statements, it seems pretty obvious that John Doe was one of the black aces. So that narrows things down quite a bit. This is the first ive really gone beyond the headlines, but id have to imagine there's some internet sleuths out there that have likely narrowed things down to a few possibilities.

This also feels like just the tip of the iceberg with respect to scummy stories coming out of the NHL (and likely all major sports). Considering Gruden's issues, and the emailing of topless cheerleaders. Disgusting.

The information in the report, despite being "anonymous," made it pretty easy to identify the player. So Kyle Beach was really "outed" whether he was willing to be or not.

Black Hawks really are at fault for letting that other kid get molested by Aldridge. Keeping it hush and letting him go on unchecked made it easy for him to prey on that 16 yr old.

His statement reads like somebody who was ok with coming out about the situation. What an awful position to be in though. Sounds like it’s been a real rough journey for him.

Indeed. My buddy in Chicago said it was Kyle Beach yesterday. As soon as the report was released people could figure out who was the black ace who was the fighter in the group.

That said, Beach's interview today was moving. I mean, here's a victim blaming himself for not being more vocal so that he could have prevented a minor from also being abused. The onus was on the Blackhawks to do the right thing, not some young guy trying to make the NHL and trying to not be a distraction.

Coach Q should have been immediately suspended by the Panthers, Bettman is going to give him two choices tomorrow, quit or you'll be suspended indefinitely.

Very seldom am I left speechless, but I find myself struggling to find the words...although the first words that come to mind are ugly, sad, disgusting, heartbreaking, cowardly, nauseating, reprehensible and incomprehensible.

It was nothing short of gut-wrenching watching Kyle Beach talk about this. Jesus.

This will leave a black eye on the NHL for many years to come. And the Blackhawks dynasty will be tarnished forever.

One of the more tone deaf pressers you'll ever see. It's a must watch.

I still can't believe Toews literally said Bowman was not complicit and he has a ton of respect for him. Wow.

This coming from a player that absolutely knew what was going on based on everything we've heard so far. If Kyle was getting comments made toward him by players during practice, there is no way your top players and Captain weren't aware.

Sopel, Boynton, Carcillo and another anonymous Blackhawks player said that this was the subject of discussion in the locker room constantly. A marketing person said people were warned to stay away from Aldrich. Everyone knew.

This entire situation is making me so angry and sad, I refuse to read any details; can someone tell me if one person (teammate? coach?) helped this guy? Please say yes, just for the humanity of it.

Sorry, but it doesn't appear that way. He was left alone on an island of (feces).

For all the scandals and improprieties in professional sports, this ranks right up at the top, superseding Kerrigan/Harding, Trevor Bauer, Ben Roethlisberger, Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong...you name it, this reeks to high hell. Probably the only professional sports story that came precipitously close to leaving me physically ill.

I think the one word that best describes this situation is sad.
