Nick's replacement?

Any news on this front? A lot of us are speculating it'll be Schaefer but I haven't seen any official announcement. I figured this would be done on the sooner side so that the pick would be able to start preparing for their role, but then again, probably not a lot to prepare for other than knowing their travel schedule.

Highly doubt, he'd come back or they'd bring him back. They must of known Nick was leaving when they didn't renew his contract. They could have kept the broadcasts status quo for 2 year and Alex take over, smells like just cost cutting bs from Luc and Kings

Not sure what part you're doubting but for hockey there's not much of a better gig than Rags PBP, you might try visiting the East Coast, they're pretty proud of themselves

I'm pretty sure Kenny Albert and Dave Malone are the NYR broadcast team. Faust was used in "select games" in the past, though. He has a good gig with TNT sports (and Apple TV and TBS I believe).

One of the knocks on Faust was how he was often very excitable and had a contrasting style compared to what we were used to with two legends for decade upon decade.

I’d argue Schaefer has that same exuberant and excitable style, but he seems to get a pass.
