Key Roster Notes

– As a reminder, prospects enrolled in college cannot attend NHL rookie camps. Hence, the absence of several players from LA’s pipeline, including: Hampton Slukynsky (Western Michigan), Ryan Conmy (Boston College), and James Reader (Denver).

— While technically allowed to participate, things can be a little less straightforward when it comes to prospects playing over in Europe. For example, despite goaltender Petteri Rimpinen (Finland) and forward Vojtech Cihar (Czechia) attending Kings Development Camp in July, both will remain overseas with their European clubs this month.

– Liam Greentree, the Kings top overall prospect, also was in LA for Dev Camp, yet didn’t participate in any of the scrimmages due to having wrist surgery earlier in the summer. From what we’ve been able to gather from various team sources, things have gone extremely well for the 19-year-old forward’s rehab over the past few months. He’s currently attending camp with the OHL’s Windsor’s Spitfires. When he arrives in LA later this month, team doctors will check him out and the expectation is that he’ll be fully cleared to participate in Kings camp — including playing in the Rookie Faceoff games.
