Oilers' Zack Kassian suspended 7 games for kicking Lightning's Erik Cernak with skate

I will prelude this with saying I like Kassian's game much of the time. He's tough and has some hockey smarts. However, "hockey smarts" is not what was on display there. It was dumb, dumb, dumb. I would have given him 20 games.
 
Could have been a real disaster had that skate been higher up and caught the neck
 
at least for once they punished the action instead of the result
