Do we have no ability to develop prospects? We always seem to have great drafts but yet barely can we call somebody up from the minors to help out.
Turcotte? Thomas? Helenius and Lee?
Okay maybe Laffy and Moverare.
Our best player in Ontario is Fagemo. Waived by two twams.
Jamsen, Pinelli, Chromiak and Portillo have done little to nothing.

We can develop but a few main factors have gotten in the Kings ways:

-Trading away our 1st round draft picks in both 2022 and 2023 along with several later round picks in 2021, 2023 and 2024
-Salary cap constraints - running too close to the salary cap and not having much movement ability as a result
-Bottle-necking at positions
-McLellan's reluctance to play rookies/prospects
-Falling in love with trade targets at the expense of our prospect pool

I read an article recently in which the Kings prospect pool is currently rated in the bottom 5% of the NHL. Not surprising give how little love Blake has given it.

As to prospects in the AHL, we appear to ahve nothing by 4th line / bottom pairing potential (though someone could always be a surprise). We do have ~4 quality prospects at the lower levels though which have good potential - Greentree being the highest potential imo.

Pinelli for all his talk and swagger has been a huge letdown. I believe original he was projected to have top 6 potential. Hopefully he is just a late bloomer.
