Please tell all Kings announcers & insiders: It's FOG-AH-MO (accent on 1st syllable)

I know because I asked a Swedish person. He was quite decisive on the pronuncialtion.

I am getting tired of hearing the various MIS-pronunciations of this name.

I find it frustrating because all Kings operatives need to do is ask any of the Swedes on the team.

Gee, I wonder how Drew Doffty, Anze Klopitoor or Dustin Brone pronounce it.

JMO, but I think pronouncing someone's name correctly is a sign of respect.

Announcers mispronounce almost all the foreign names, especially when it comes to which syllable the accent falls on. (By the way, if you want to show the correct accent when writing, capitalize only the syllable accented: FOG-ah-mo).

Foreign announcers totally mispronounce the American and Canadian names, though, so it's all good.

Seems like they would have had these conversations long ago and aligned on a pronunciation.

Until these young players earn their respect call them anything.

And maybe he pronounces it different in English? People do that you know.

Can we just call him Foggy?

What’s important is that everybody around the league will know his name in a couple of years.

FYI, Nick was pronouncing it "FOG-ah-mo" during last nights radio broadcast.

I heard him say, "Fah-geemo" at least once, maybe twice last night.

I think he said it at least 2 different ways, maybe 3.

Nick seemed off his whole (announcing) game last night. Perhaps he didn't have
some of the resources (monitors, etc), available last night that he normally has in the season.

He also had to fly solo as Darryl is in contact tracking procedure.

Yeah, he did a great job soloing, but still, he was saying Fuhgeemo all night. I even Tweeted Zach Dooley to tell him how to say it but to no avail.

And someone tell Faust that a regular pass along the ice is not "sauces the puck over".
