As the Kings return home for a Saturday night contest against the Bruins at Crypto.com Arena, they do so following a road trip where they picked up 4 of a possible 4 points.

Perhaps the team is starting to find some sort of identity early on in the season. They score goals in bunches, don’t give up much defensively, and have received key and timely saves when they are needed. Although the Bruins are always a tough opponent when they come to town, the Kings have proven that they can play with any team in the league.

It’s set to be a historic night for the Kings franchise. Captain Anze Kopitar is set to become the leader in games played in team history. It will be the 1,297th contest that he has appeared in. A remarkable career for Kopitar, from personal achievements to 2 Stanley Cups, will surely be an emotional night for him, his family, and the entire organization.

The schedule for LA has been a tough one out of the gate. This will be their 5th consecutive game against a team that went to the postseason last year. They will need to have their best game of the season on Saturday night in order to reel in their third straight win.
