Looks like Quick has refound his game. He has been great here lately.

It has been a lot of fun watching his "re-found" game this season.

Quick is great. Should make it into the HOF. Definitely making a case for it. I think he's got a couple more years left in him too. I could see the Kings holding onto him for a few more.

I don't think he makes it into the HOF. Only five goalies inducted since the '80s. Quick has two Cups, one Conn Smythe and two Jennings but no Vezinas and only one All-Star team. Barrasso, Moog, Vanbiesbrook, Osgood, Joseph, Vernon have similar credentials, all top 20 in all-time wins, none of them are in.

I agree... except that people continually argue that "King Henrik" will make the HOF with zero cups. Goalies to the HOF is really tough (as it should be). Quick had an amazing peak, but it was too short, IMO.

Quick also has some Olympic hardware that may ultimately help.

I don't know...two Stanley Cups, Silver Medal in the Olympics, one Conn Smythe...that's not a bad resume. No Vezinas hurts, but otherwise he seems like a pretty good candidate for the Hall. And Quick came real close to winning three Cups.

It that true? Only five goalies in the Hall since the 80's? Wow. Seems hard to believe...

wow....I think Moog should be in for sure...good cases for Barasso and Vanbiesbrook, too. Osgood, Joseph, Vernon not so much, but maybe just because my level of hockey watching was less during their era

I also think they need to up the # of players who get in per year now that the league has so many more teams than in the past. Or have a goaltenders category like they have with the "builders".

Not sure if he makes it or not,but he should. Time will tell. Anti LA bias in hockey could hurt him.

Mike Vernon: 19 seasons/782 games, 385-274-92, 27 shutouts, 3.00 GAA (102 GA%-), .889 SV%, 2x Stanley Cup, 1x Conn Smythe, 1x All-Star, 1x Jennings

Chris Osgood: 17 seasons/744 games, 401-216-95, 50 shutouts, 2.49 GAA (101 GA%-), .905 SV%, 3x Stanley Cup, 1x All-Star, 2x Jennings

Henrik has 0 Cups but has Olympic gold. And 459 wins to Quick's < 350. And a Vezina. I think he gets in even though his win totals are close to Cujo (and that's with some ties of Cujo era being 50% wins in the modern era)

I love Quick (and paid way too much to MeiGray for one of his game worn jerseys) but I don't see how he makes the HHOF without a 3rd Cup or other huge finishing act. The Hall sucks when it comes to admitting goalies. Luongo and MAF are shoo ins. So Quick needs to get past Cujo (wins), Osgood (wins and Cups), Barrasso (2 Cups, Vezina, Calder, currently more wins), Carey Price (Olympic gold, wins, Montreal factor) and maybe even Ryan Miller (Vezina, silver, more wins). He's got 4 wins to go to reach the 350 milestone. Then he needs to keep climbing past the other American born goalies. For a while 350 wins looked iffy but Quick has been great this year and the Kings are better too. I think he needs to get to 375 wins which puts him past Barasso at 17th all time and 2nd for American goalies to have a 50/50 chance. It sucks that Roy and Brodeur broke things for so long being generational goalies.

I'm just glad Quick is playing so great. We'd be in trouble if he wasn't dominating.

Being from the USA might prove to be an edge for Quick when it comes to Hall of Fame balloting.

Having the record number of shutouts by an American-born goaltender provides a unique element to his resume.

Still, I don’t think Quick gets to the Hall unless he has 3 or 4 more winning seasons.

It sucks when your admittance inti the hall of fame depends so much on other people.

Looking at just American goalies, Quick would need to be more deserving than Vanbiesbrouck, Miller, and Barrasso to have a realistic shot and that's not likely to happen. JvB probably doesn't make it for many years (if ever) because of his racism directed at Trevor Daley, but Miller and Barrasso are more deserving than Quick at this point and that's unlikely to change.

I vote for a statue in front of The Crypt for Quickie!

I agree Brown, Kopi, Doughty, and Quick all deserve statues. If they do it, do they do completely separate ones for each or something that puts all 4 together?

Personally I think Quick outshines all three though I can see the argument for Miller. Quick lacks the Vezina but is the only one of the three with a Conn Smythe. He also has 2 Jennings to Barrasso's 1 and the other two's 0, an Olympic medal and the second highest SV% and lowest GAA out of the group. What he needs now is to continue to amass wins to put himself clearly over the top.

Only way Quick makes HOF is if he?s recognized as one of the greatest American goaltenders of all time. His GAA, SV, and Wins are actually right up there. Has the most shutouts of any American at 56.
