Whether or not Kopi retires after this season, this is the year that Byfield needs to establish himself as a #1 center.

I don't think QB will ever come close to Kopi's impact at the same age and is a 2C at best but we'll see.

Byfield shouldn’t be compared to Kopitar. Nobody should.

Kopitar is a first ballot Hall of Famer. Arguably the greatest Kings player of all time. There aren’t many players in the history of the sport who were as impactful as Kopitar at any age.

As for QB being a 2C, he led all forwards in TOI from Jan. 1 through the final game of the playoffs. He was tied for 2nd with Kempe in points scored over that same period. He’s already the #1 Center on the team.
