Bummer...RIP Ducky.
A lot of people don't know this but Hwechuck was almost a King. The Kings had Detroit's #1 pick in 1981 due to the Red Wings signing Vachon in 1978. The Kings got some players and TWO #1 picks. One got them Larry Murphy in 1980 and the other pick was in 1981. If Winnipeg hadn't been so damned awful that year there was a chance the Red Wings would have had the worst record. Oh well.....
