Like this! They wanted this guy and moved up to get him.
 
I thought he’d already be gone by the time we picked but I didn’t think about us moving up. The qualities I read about him say elite skater, high compete, hockey sense, playmaker, quick release, 2 way player.

Admittedly, this is the type of move I want the Kings to make. Move up in order to grab who they feel is the BPA.
 
He can play wing as well. He was teammates with Jacob Ingham (also Joseph Garrefa and Billy Constantinou who were in camp briefly) They have seen plenty of his games.

They also said he's a natural center. In reading up on him, one issue is he's a playmaker and defers too much on shooting.

You draft the best player available regardless of position. Then you develop the player and if you end up with a logjam, trade the players you have too many of for players you have too few of.
