Smilin' Stan Lee: We Hardly Knew Ye?

A day we all knew was coming but very sad none the less.

Over the years I had the welcome chance to meet Stan at several different cons as well as through my work. He was always kind with a great sense of humor.
The work he created was a very important part of my life growing up.

He never wrote down to his audience but respected that they could handle realistic heros that were flawed, that sometimes failed and added in bits of the "real world" to his stories.

I always appreciated this, and I always felt like he might have used certain words on purpose, so some of us kids would have to look them up.

Very few things top 70's Stan Lee!
