Actually, the Kings gave up 13 goals in a playoff game once....not likely these days.

Hell, even Eichel thought it was going to be an icing call....he clearly (IMO) let up...

Defender could have played the puck before it crossed goal line. Defender decided to try to lock up Eichel instead of playing the puck. Eichel looked like he had a slight advantage until he realized the defender was not going for the puck and both backed off.
It was a tough call but it not all that clear cut.

Both guys calling the game were on Coach Q’s side. As have been the majority of game reports I have seen/heard.

Don’t have a side in this whatsoever. Just what I saw. I do think it gets called regularly but I do think the defender chose to not play the puck. We see plenty of times the call is waived off when ref believes player could have played the puck.Sounds kinda like a VGK interpretation.

My take is that it should have been icing but it did not cause the Ducks to lose the game...the Duck defenseman took possession of the puck then the Ducks team got outworked by Vegas (who scored).
I also agree that Eichel had a step on the defender then let up.
Ducks need only be upset with themselves.

Rule 1: Play to the whistle. Especially in a tight playoff game. I thought it was an icing, but it was not a slam dunk.

Sounds crazy but I’d rather see it go to Toronto than Vancouver. Vancouver is completely incompetent in a sad way. Toronto is incompetent in a funny way.
