This team needs a strong face off winner

P

PTDP

Lurker
Patrice Bergeron
Toews
there are few others.

It is all about puck control.

See Jared Stoll

winning faceoffs was not the issue. Did you see how many goals the Kings scored last night. ZERO goals is going to win ZERO games.

They need a QB on the power play.
Goal scoring from the left side.
A big defenseman.

19 Phillip Danaults.

True but the Kings do need a Matt Greene-like d-man....more so than a face-off guy at least.

jom

Kopitar and Danault were 7th and 15th league wide in the regular season...

Agreed, and Kopitar won 53.5% and Danualt 51.5% in the playoffs so neither are a problem when it comes to draws. Would be great to have a FO specialist, ala Stoll, but we have a lot of bigger holes to fill first.

"And what hole would that be?...The one where the puck goes?" -Omit

Seriously, I thing the Kings are going in the right direction.
Folks, the future is bright.

Lizotte was over 50% as well. The last thing this team needs to worry about is getting a faceoff guy.

Helvetica, though your Font is "bland" and not a winner. Are you a closet San Jose sharks fan?

Yeah, this team needs a good face off player. One who wins more than a "flip of the coin 50%".
It's not rocket science.

well, there were 6 better players at the dot than Kopitar this season, so i guess we should just go get one of them. You're right, it's not rocket science i guess...

This team needs puck control. Kings have the players and they are SOLID.
1 more "sand paper" guy, and like I said "chose wisely"

I would like to see a player like Michael Raffl play for the Kings.

Regular season Faceoff Win % - leading all players was Patrice Bergeron with 61.9%, Kopitar was at 56.9%. The only other player with over a 60% win rate was John Tavares at 60.6%. All other players above Kopitar had a differential that was negligible.

So how do you propose we get either Bergeron or Tavares?
