Just sayin'.

Anyway, he's out again.

Can't find any info on it.
Anybody know what's up?

I dunno about anyone else, but IMO, this is a worrisome pattern.

His coach said he got a little dinged up. The Mayor said Turcotte was a game day decision today but wasn't ready. Seems he could be ready for their next game.

So I guess it's an actual day-to-day.

Anyone know what the actual injury from the WJC Final was?

I heard it was a lower-body injury. Details were not given.

Perhaps only the CIA knows for sure?

I don't know for sure but that has never stopped me from speculating.

He got hurt in the 3rd period of the goal medal game in a semi-collision with Suzuki. He just fell awkwardly and then didn't look to be 100%.

I remember the play and my best guess was a knee or high ankle strain. Didn’t look ugly when it happened. Just wondering if anyone knew more details.

Same with Justin Williams, always injury prone, until he wasn't.....

Yup, then he came back out and hobbled his way through the end of the game.

He is a smart kid, he will learn how to manage his body. I don't think most fans know how few games he has ever played. His NCAA and USHL schedules are all less than 40 per season. You can go full tilt when you are playing once, maybe twice a week. Its just not something to be concerned about. Mono hits a lot of college kids, thats what really hampered him last year. The AHL is a developmental league, you sit kids for issues that they would be expected to play with in the NHL (and CHL for that matter).

After a great 1st day of August Development camp, It seems Turcotte had to have an appendectomy.

He should be fine for rookie camp in a couple weeks or so.

At least, judging by the fast recovery times for
a couple other players who had similar situations.

But, sheesh.

All the cool kids were doing it

Meh, I'd be more concerned if it was injury related vs this. It happens.

Brad Richardson had one before Game 1 of the Vancouver series in 2012. He was back by Game 4.
