Upcoming Kings Home Games

Just took a quick look at the schedule...after this seemingly interminable stretch of no hockey...the Kings play exactly THREE homes game until March 10th? And, just my luck, I won't be able available for those three games.

So, from January 20th to March 10th, the Kings play a grand total THREE games at home? How is that even possible?

On March 7th I'll be up flying north for two weeks on a trip we planned months ago to see my new granddaughter.

It looks like I'll end up going nearly four years without seeing one freakin' Kings game. This will be, by far, the longest I've ever gone without seeing a Kings game in person.

All Star break combined with the Olympic break. Still glad the players aren't in China. It really is amazing how many games did get cancelled already. Doesn't feel like it so much with the Kings but other teams are getting run ragged.

The last time the Kings played they were in second place, now they dropped to third. It's going to at least take 3-4 games to get their skating legs back so they might be in 6th in no time. Very sneaky of these Canandian teams to take advantage and postpone a few games to give their legs a break and then make the Kings wait two weeks to play knowing what happens during long layoffs.

35 games in the next 73 days. Insane schedule coming up. After the end of the "Olympic Break", we have 8 games in 13 days. I think the rest the Kings are getting now while other teams are playing "catch up" will actually be good as we come down that stretch. March & April are gonna be a wild ride!

yeah....some of them are going to be duds, I'm thinking. Got lots of real life coming up. Starting this coming weekend....might do a combined GDT for the back-to-back.

Trying to stay positive here...no matter what happens I'm going to see a Kings game in person this season. Just gotta be patient I suppose. I am not good at patient.

But regardless what's going on in my personal or professional life, I always see a game on or near my birthday in mid-April (yes...Miracle on Manchester...blah blah blah...Frenzy on Figueroa...blah blah blah), so I guess I'll shoot for that. In the past it always meant playoffs time...but not this season. The closest game to my birthday is April 19th, but we're in Anaheim and I ain't going to the Ponda. So I guess it will have to be the Blackhawks on the 21st.

Just feels weird going this long without seeing a Kings game. Or going to Staples (or whatever the hell that place is called now). I bought tickets to see Roger Waters at Staples over two years ago...and the show has been rescheduled twice...now those shows are set for September 27th and 28th. But man, do I miss going down there. I always felt it was like my home away from home...and four years is a long time to be away from home.

I need my 15 dollar beer!
