Kings have to figure out the nucks, who for some reason are now 12-5-0 against the pacific. Otherwise they did a lot of what they wanted to do.

Isn't this like the third or fourth time the Kings could have moved into first but then blow it?

This kinda blows… not brimming with confidence about a positive outcome. Kings played a bad third period.

Our 3rd periods are what, 25th worst in the league? Kinda weird stats this year. Our 2nds are good. 1sts ok. 3rds terrible. Kind of a worrying stat. This is a team dearly missing Fiala, who I think was hurt before he got hurt, and won't be 100% til next year. Game started with 2 or 3 2 on 1 breakdowns. Tons of shots, no goals. Weird game. Summer time needs to work on those skill checks (shootout). Our guys have 1 move. Copley is good at shootouts, Korpi only has one I've seen under his belt, but if you can't score it don't matter. First line IMO looked really bad tonight. Kempe and Kopitar specifically froze a bunch of times. Kempe almost looked hurt after that big hit I think in the first, or at least rattled for awhile.

Faust sure did, and let everyone know like naustradamus

If jinxing isn't real, Faust is doing his damndest to jinx it into existence.

What i see is the Kings generate quite a bit of shots on goal but most are not quality shots. The Nucks didn't get very much shots on goal but the ones they got were quality shots and 3 went in. Kings need to work on getting open for quality shots and then getting the puck to that open man so that he can bury it. Faust kept stating the shots, Kings have 20 shots, Kings have 30 shots but it didn't matter because the Nucks were still in the game.

I don't think there is much to assess on this one. We got goalied. Simple as that. On most nights another 1 or 2 would have gone in for us.

I don't understand Iaffalo being out there in OT, but once the playoffs starts, there's no more 3 on 3 or shootouts, so stuff like that won't matter anymore.

We miss Durzi on the power play, but not overall.

It’s almost good to have these hiccups - hopefully forces them to work on powerplay, which could have won the game and realize they’re going to have games where they face a hot goalie and have to find a way - especially in the playoffs.

I'm tellin' ya. It's gonna come down to that one point Durzi miffed up on Opening Night...

Plenty of Kings have been directly responsible for losses this year. You really are cherry picking, although it’s true that was the gaff that began a year of many gaffs.

The Kings have stolen a few points themselves this year also. The comebacks at Boston, Colorado (first game) and Winnipeg (in each case, down 2 goals in the third before coming back to win in a shootout) come to mind off hand.

Nucks put 40 shots on Gibson tonight and won 2-1. That's how weird that game was last night as Vancouver continues to dominate the Pacific.

Kings showed a lot of skill those first two periods especially. They kept the puck in the VAN end a number of times when it looked sure to go out and forced long shifts on the Canucks.
