In advance of Monday’s deadline, the Kings have placed forward Austin Wagner and defenseman Austin Strand on waivers. Should they clear, the expectation is they will be assigned to AHL Ontario.

Strand is not very good. His reads and gap control were substandard the last preseason game that I saw him in. He's 24.5 and not looking like an NHL regular. He's going to get passed by Clarke, Faber, Spence, and Grans and eventually Kirsanov. Being a RD on a team which is loaded with RD is not good.

Agreed, IMO he has more offensive upside than #7
