Welp—I guess we’re all Carolina fans now

Just because so many people are so salty about so many VGK subjects, I'm all for them winning. VGK management is a masterclass on how to run a team. Sometimes the bad guys have to win because good is stupid.
Interesting graphic how both teams have been built.
Found it here.

It's interesting but also a bit misleading as players like Jordan Staal (2nd overall), Taylor Hall (1st overall), K'Andre Miller (22nd overall), just naming a few, were all 1st round picks regardless of whether the team traded for them (trading 1st round picks etc) or drafted them directly.

What it does show is that homegrown talent is not essential provided a team uses those picks/prospects to obtain the pieces they need.

It's also impressive that Vegas has been able to build, and sustain, the culture they have even without homegrown talent. That shows what Organizational leadership can do.

What are you, a commie?!

Everyone has to suffer and someone has to lose and feel terrible!

Example sentence: I am sooo on the struggle bus rn. Read: I've got 74 unread work emails and I am posting jokes on a hockey message board to a Slovenian stranger.

My son bought me a Carolina Hurricanes Playoff T-Shirt and Carolina Tire Valve Stems for the golf cart for my birthday; however, I'm not transitioning to the red, black and white.

Bah. Vegass takes Game 1 courtesy of ex-Guppy Hertl with the GWG. And Stankoven took his eyes off the puck after Staal won the draw, costing them a chance to tie it after pulling Andersen for the extra attacker; at least they didn't give up an ENG.

Oh, well. Carolina had better come back for Game 2.

Vegas is always on; they don't let up and take advantage of so many minor mistakes that lead to goals. They drive to the middle as much as I have seen any team. In that game, the puck found the sticks of the Vegas players.
With that being said, it's going to be a long series.

The Knights first team powerplay unit is unreal. Toe-Mas killing it in game one with the dagger to end the game. Fredrick Andersen(fake) post game quote: "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark". That "ghost" is playoff cap corruption, right?

Great points and was thinking exactly the same thing last night - However, I don't think this is going to be a long series. Carolina doesn't having the ability to play consistent enough to hang w/ Vegas, who IMO is playing better than when they won the cup 3 years ago. Carolina hasn't seen a team even close as good as Vegas in the playoffs.

Hate to say it but if Vegas wins tomorrow, you'll see the brooms out in the desert. Really hope I'm wrong...

This is a great point. This is not necessarily the best Vegas team we have seen, but the Vegas team that has played the best to date.

It's going to be tight series.
