Agree to disagree. The Knights won game three because all four lines were scoring, yes? My strategy is the Avalanche combat that with all four lines scoring, plus the goalie.

Ugh. A Vegas/Montreal final is a nightmare to me.

I really don't want to watch Montreal take 12 shots in a game during the final. *YAWN*. Hopefully the Avs can at least add a little drama to the series instead of getting swept.

Montreal has to be one of the worst teams to make it this far. They best Tampa with 9 shots in the game 7 and then did the rope-a-dope against Buffalo too. Carolina winning for me is the double bonus of extending the McSorley curse and eliminating a boring team.

Kudos to Jakub Dobes though for an amazing playoffs. He's been their MVP along with Mr Game 7 Newhook.

Funny that the Habs are playing rather similarly to the Kings but with slightly better offense in the playoffs. "Slightly," as in marginally better O than the Kings. At least the Habs were able to make it far past the first two rounds, something the Kings couldn't do.
 
Those final couple of minutes...MacKinnon tried to do too much himself-each time the puck went to him he slowed it down and tried to make a move allowing VGK to easily defend- found myself yelling at him pass it!!!
 
Just shows how far behind the Kings are in the Pacific and Western Conference. Vegas coasts through the regular season and then conference champs beating the #1 team in the NHL in 4.

I hope the Kings never ever again pick a goalie in the first round. Bernier was plenty enough of a (relatively speaking, considering the emergence of Quick) disappointment...he netted us what, a 2nd rounder and a couple of scrubs? Yikes.
 
My parents are in Vegas right now visiting family who are part of the L.A. to VEGAS diaspora, but none of them care about hockey, so it's business as usual for them.

Because if it was the Kings who just made it this far, we would celebrating jacked up on Piña coladas or something , lol.

I'm sure the Avs are going to be in the market for a goalie now.....and possibly a new coach??? Maybe the Kings can trade Hiller's rights for some game used gear.
 
Vegas made all the right moves from last summer to the trade deadline and a goalie that was hurt for a large part of the season comes back and is a game changer. They are going to be tough to beat, remember they were in a pillow fight.

Curious if the Avs keep or fire Bednar. I’d take him if he’s available.
 
My loathing of other teams in the NHL has largely dissipated over the years. I don't mind one bit that Vegas is in the Finals, and have no issues with them winning the Cup. Of the teams remaining, my preference would be for Vegas to win it, but my day wouldn't be ruined if either the Canes or Habs won the Cup. I knew the Kings had no shot for about the past decade, so watching other teams win the Cup has been enjoyable.
