Welp - I Guess We're all F^¢< Vegas In The @$$ Fans Now

Because f^¢< Vegas. There are so many reasons to dislike them. Starting with how everyone thinks they're geniuses for their expansion draft choices. No, other teams were just stupid. Then how they gamed the LTIR system. Then how Tortorella might become the 4 all time & 2nd since Scotty Bowman to win a Cup with 2 different teams & he only coached 8 regular season games. Does he deserve that? Could he go on a run like this if he had to coach 82 games? Finally, is the league ready to have the Carter Hart conversation? Because then they'd have to talk about the Canadian justice system, what is hockey culture, if women & men get the same treatment when they do the same thing, & the difference between being found not guilty & being proven innocent.

I don’t mind Vegas and the league is more interesting because of them. Only move I really resent is their signing of Carter Hart and I am not enjoying his success. He was the most talented of those five accused players but 4 of them total were still playing in NHL and none of them have been brought back which says something. I don’t mind Vegas being ruthless but that was a bridge too far that unfortunately is working out really well for them.

I won't help my breath to see any Carter Hart is Guilty signs in the crowd or outside the area in protest. Now if it was a NBA/MLB/NFL player....maybe more feathers would be ruffled.

It was a move by VGK that showed they are more interested in winning and everything else is just noise. Still don't like that fan base.

So how do you really feel? I hope check your bp often.

Just saw this:

Seems like a guy that can't go without trouble for more than a couple of years.

I wonder...dirty players make run on goalies. Sh*tty moves if done to a goalie. But would it be so sh*tty f it's Carter Hart of VGK, though...?

Vegas is great. They screwed everyone in the expansion draft. Then stole Eichel and Marner for very little from a couple of stupid franchises/GM's. And Carter Hart was found innocent. Let it go man.

Wow, what a scandal!!! He better hope he doesn't get thrown into jail or have his passport revoked.

Did Vegas REALLY STEAL Eichel? Dude was a liability to buffalo that they did not want to take.
Vegas knew what was in task. Hart was acciquited of all charges.....were you there? did you see
it all?...no you did not.. so shut up!!!

That's it? "Free Alberta" t-shirt is a scandal?

from the article: "Call that what you want, I call it treason."... get over yourself. Hockey writers should stick to hockey.

Well, first of all, you're both American so you probably don't give a s*** about stuff like that. Maybe you would if it were California trying to separate and become Canada, but anyway...

It's f*****g childish, disruptive and unnecessary. If hockey writers should avoid politics, so should the players. What if he has teammates from Alberta that love Canada?

I know it's far from his scandal, but he seems like a ticking time bomb, either to do something suspension-worthy, or at the very least disrupt the locker room.

Also, the fact the charges were dropped means absolutely nothing. It just means there was a lack of proof. Sure, innocent until proven guilty...would you let him into your family? Would you let him coach a team your 14-year old plays for?

On one hand I really hope Vegas hands him out an 8-year, 6 million contract to him next season, and maybe even spend assets to get rid of Hill, only for him to do some stupid shenanigan s*** and it blows it up in their faces.

If Trevor Moore was rocking a CalExit shirt, there’d be some chatter also. Shouldn’t be controversial to say promoting secession isn’t a great look.

Hart’s a sleaze. A blight on an otherwise very impressive and honestly built Vegas team. Incredible just how many of those guys came via trade. You gotta respect the build.

Not going to persecute or defend Carter as I do not know him, or his situation well enough, personally. However your point on the Vegas build is dead on.

Also very impressive how they were able to take somewhat disillusioned players like Eichel and Quick and turn their attitudes completely around through development, reinforcement and support. The culture in that Organization appears to be very real and extremely productive.

They made a Cup winner out of Amadio. And he actually played.

The firing of Cassidy is one of the boldest and most unconventional things I’ve ever seen in the NHL. 8 games left and they said it wasn’t working. Pulled in the perfect short term guy to turn it around.

It’s a good roster no doubt but there’s a culture as you said that also gets these guys to perform. For as ruthless as they’ve been to some players, they’ve been extremely loyal to others. There’s clearly a bar there that needs to be met.

From my experience players who want to play hard and win love a ruthless Organization that sets the bar high.

The only championship team I even played on was like that. They were the defending champions and, after acquiring me, put me in a totally different position with one specific assignment (protect the two star forwards) resulting in me essentially thugging it up for a season. It wasn't a role I ever wanted (and was glad to be free of in college) but there was nothing like being on that team and excellence they demanded (and knowing everyone had to pull their weight or be gone).

....Good v. Evil from where we stand. It's good for the NHL, let's hope they play all 7.

I'm curious how next season is going to go. Having a hard nosed coach all next season may not be nearly as much fun as going to the finals with him.

Awesome experience for you. Rad you got to win at any level and have a defined role to play.

The way they shipped out Fleury, didn’t offer Marchesseault a contract right after the Cup, among other decisions might cast a shadow. And yet guys want to be there. They know they could be shipped out any time, but want to be a part of it.
