Why the extended break for the Kings?

Why are most of the teams back playing, but the Kings have a 2 week break between games? I don't get it.

This was supposed to be the Olympic break and the NHL then re-scheduled games which were postponed due to COVID for the break, but did not change the schedule otherwise. Most teams had a lot more postponements than the Kings, so they're playing the re-scheduled games now.

Yup exactly. Now we just gotta hope they come back with the same level of play…

Gotta hope Athanasiou will be ready to play after all this rest. He had more rust on him than the Tin Man before this Olympic break. Hopefully the time off has provided enough practice time for 22-55-23 to play like a line and not 3 mismatched individuals.

Also hoping Toby Bjornfot will come back with his confidence restored and plays as well as he did before January.

TM said yesterday that unlike after the Christmas break, when they came back looking like ****, they looked good in their first practice back. If he's right, the team may be really jelling.
