Hi all - sorry for the delay. 907 comments on the GDT on Oilers Nation. It’s a different crowd than HF Boards. A little more clear-eyed, more self-deprecating. But as you can see, the same fixation on reffing remains. They don’t mean “game management” like Todd did.
Pregame:
-Without Ekhom, these playoffs are the true gauge on what Bouchard is worth going forward.
-Play a tight patient game, destroy any LA player parking themselves in front of the oilers net and let McDrai fly.
-Skinner and josh brown? Recipe for success
-Here we go:
1. First game huge in my opinion. Either win or lose a super hard fought game. LA is the best team at home. Steal tonight. Team who wins this game wins the series IMO.
2. Watched many playoff games and have seen brutal reffing. Ottawa got screwed sorry.
3. Foegel will be a rat. Just you wait. He will be public enemy number one.
4. McDavid and Drai magic will be needed

-Oilers typically take a few games to figure out the opposing goalie. Think LA series 2 years ago and Dallas series last year. They seem to have Kuemper figured out after 1 game. Let’s see how this plays out.
-Why don’t you mention the 3 assists that Bouchard got?
—Probably because even a 12 year old could have gotten fortunate enough if they spent that much gifted ice time with Draisaitl and McDavid.
-As expected, the Kings' goaltending is suspect and Game 1 showed it. The Oil should have no problem scoring in this series. The key thing is to tighten their own defense.
-Oilers win with less game management.
-Oilers is good at giving you hope and then trash it.
-Superstars can't outscore a seive goaltender.

——With the diving and head throwbacks, I thought I was. Also the net looks like a soccer net when Stu is between the pipes

-If there`s one team to play bad, come back from a huge deficit to then tie it and loose it with 30s left on the clock, it`s the Oilers.

-It was a great comeback, but it was the most Oilers way to not finish it.
