At this point it feels inevitable that OV will end up in the COVID protocol. I?m just hoping it happens when we have a slower portion of the schedule.

Ugh. So the Kings will have a better chance at winning this game since Vitek will most definitely give up rebounds for 2nd chance scoring. I realize Vitek played mostly well against the Sabres/Jets, but he got very lucky that both teams were in a slump and both teams missed multiple open nets against Vitek. The Kings are a better team, having beat some good teams lately. They were handled by the Canes 5-1 last night(that score is miss leading as the Kings got screwed by the officiating/NHL on the first two Canes goals), so you can be sure they will show up playing a better game against the Caps tonight.
?Vanecek gets what should be an easy game. The Kings don't put up alot of offense.
?The Caps are icing seven rookies and down to one of our projected top six forwards. The bottom six is Hagelin and the Hershey Bears. No such thing as an easy game. If they get anything out of this game they?ll have earned it big time.
?I think it will be a fairly easy game for Vanecek. Because the Kings don't generate alot of scoring chances. This is also a back to back for the Kings.
If Caps get a point its a win! They got 2 the other day so let's not get greedy.

The one thing that can be faulted is effort. The lack of effort in this game should be skated hard tomorrow morning.

That loss sucked!!! Should have been 4-0, where a lucky bounce means nothing. But nope we p*ss away 7 pps, let them hang around and let an AHL call up hippie beat us. Fire BF to the moon!
We outplayed the Kings in this game. Unfortunately their AHL goalie played better than ours. Did Vanecek even make one good save this game. The Kings didn't have a lot of chances. They may have had more goals than scoring chances.

how Blaine Forsythe still has a job is beyond me, the PP has been an issue for at least 3 seasons now. He would be homeless if Alex Ovechkin didnt exist.

?It would be interesting to look into those numbers from last year. We did play Buffalo 8 times.
