Before the fan comments, here’s the start to a recap from Oilers Nation, the same sage bloggers who made an April Fools story about McDavid getting suspended for 7 games after concussing Mikey Anderson.

Comments pulled from https://oilersnation.com and HFBoards. Any comments of substance are typically from Oilers Nation, however. Their commenters are smarter than the bloggers. The HFBoards thread is no joke 50 percent ref complaints - at least.
Pregame:

-Doesn’t look like the refs aren’t interested in calling anything. Whether you have the puck or not.

—Not a single goalie in the year is a "stand-up goalie". That goes in on pretty much every goalie in the league 8 times out 10 - just an elite play by Byfield
-Emberson Stetcher against Byfield line. What could possibly go wrong?
-First real shot Skinner faces-ends up in the back of the net. Maybe Skinner has some weights attached to his elbows, maybe that's why he is so slow to lift his hands.
—That can't be true. Soon, Spector, Gregor, Lowetide and all their guppies and interns will come up with articles and excuses…
-This is the recipe to beat Edmonton. Just don't call any penalties to the other team

-LA plays such a chicken sh*t game. Sit back and interfere and dare the ref to make calls against them. I f***ing hate watching the kings play.
-LA probably has a tough time in ot, because it's hard to trap during ot lol
Postgame:
-Henrique lost them that game. Brutal.
-Gary gets his team a win
-Byfield only plays like an elite player against Edmonton lol
-People are going to say they played a patient road game. Bunch of BS. They were consistently outworked all game long, Kings played faster, executed better, and deserved to win. Oilers were often sloppy and Skinner was shaky all game long.
-Nice shot/nice goal. Otherwise VA was mostly invisible. Foegele - who I’ve been a fan of since the day the Oil traded for him - went off. He was never given legit chance to show his offensive game in Edmonton. Shortest leash on the team. His production in LA is no surprise - and please spare me the “he was too inconsistent in Edmonton” response - that is just a false narrative.
-LA absolutely dominated Oil in OT
-Decided to watch the OT. The non-call slash on Bouchard followed by the ref not blowing the whistle when Skinners mask was loose just further cements my disdain for this league and why I refuse to watch games. I don’t even miss it to be honest. f*** Gary and his corrupt NHL.
-This is the worst refs have been in my entire years of watching
