Hi everyone! Long time no see! What a great win against the Pens last night. Lots of energy, heart, passion, and grit back in this team. Lookout Quacks and Golden Boys, here we come!

And nobody is being incredibly streaky. It's been a consistent output with steady improvement. That's exactly what you want. Not for someone to come in and get 4 points then disappear for 8 or 9 games.

Kupari + AK are learning how to play the hard way and that will prove invaluable as they hopefully move up the lineup. Durzi has come in and looks like he BELONGS. Toby is really impressing me after a slow start and still has 18 months to take the next step IMO, he's still very young and was on a horrible team when he was brought up. He's just starting to be able to play a little more comfortably and it's noticeable.

Mikey will move to 5D and a top PK guy sooner than later hopefully, and I think that's a great spot for him. Mikey + Roy would make a nice 5+6. Roy is another guy who's flying under the radar, having a great season. More than anyone expected.

Then, Danault is a HUGE catalyst for ALL of this.

Good to hear from you Guinevere. It's been awhile...a lot of the old members here have disappeared. Hell, I haven't seen a post by Hipcheck in ages for instance.

But, yeah, things are getting better but the Cup wins took away a lot of the pressure to win, for me at least. At least we aren't depending on Storr vs Fiset anymore. lol

Was thinking about hipcheck also. Welcome back Guinevere!

hipcheck posts often on the Facebook LGK page. As he was here, hip is one of Mike’s moderators on that site.

I know right. Even for me, I can die happy seeing the Kings finally win a cup. 2 is a bonus. I?ve reconnected with a lot of old members on Facebook. Mini Guiny is 19 now😃. It?s great to reconnect with a kings fan community where I made lots of friends and we had some great adventures!

....we had some great adventures!

Unfortunately, it was mostly "adventures" in losing. I remember how LGK exploded in the 1998 playoffs when the Kings blew that lead in game 3 on ONE power play (against St. Louis). The O'Donnel/Courtnall incident....that was an adventure for sure. lol

But on the other hand there was the "Frenzy on Figuroa" in 2001 to keep us happy for a time. So it goes both ways I guess.

That was the season I found LGK. If i'm not mistaken it was when we got Robitaille back so there was some excitement going into the season. First time we made the playoffs since the 93 finals run. I was at that game 3 vs St. Louis. My first playoff game and what an awful night it turned out to be.

I too have stopped visiting LGK much and have not even been watching too many Kings games. Getting to see them win 2 cups (in person!) did relieve a lot of that pressure. Now that the team has some promising young players that we can watch grow it makes it a little more exciting.
