***Edmonton Oilers vs. LA Kings GDT 2/10/24 >>7:00pm<< on NHL & BSW***

helluva win - go win 16 and oilers can go lose 16. what a silly team draisatl was out there for 5 minutes.. good luck with that.

kopi really needs to shoot there lol
The defender on Kopi got in the way. QB trying to get Kopi the goal almost cost them the ENG.

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed Englund would get the first Kings penalty out of the break and/or that there would be within +/-2 of 52 combined shots recorded:

Englund (1 point):

The official scoresheet was revised overnight so bummer to TC and I who lose a point. Congratulations to Jim Hiller for his first victory and good on the refs for sorting out that pettiness about the puck. Great to beat edmonton, but it's just one game. The hard work is still there to be done.

If (still a huge if) PLD plays like he did tonight, then that trade can be a win for us both in the short and in the long run! He had a great game and played exactly as physical as we need him to! Love it!
Have you been taking notice of what’s happening in Winnipeg? Vilardi to the 4th line, Iafallo getting scratched and Kupari in limbo. Trade doesn’t look so bad at all now.

PLD was brought in to be a difference maker in the playoffs. Tonight was a good preview of what could come!

So im
Watching the game - then I realized that I forgot to do the poll question. DAMN ALL STAR BREAK!

Whatever- Did anyone catch the end of the game drama?
Byfield tried to get the puck for Hiller - the Oilers picked it up and skated to their bench. Desharnais wanted it as a keepsake I guess.

Whatta dick.
I was wondering what that was all about. The cameras only caught some of the Kings in the celebration line with Rittich looking back, and then showed a ref escorting QB across the ice. Why the hell would the Oilers want -that- puck, if not merely to stick it to the Kings/QB for trying to take it as a keepsake?

Oilers are without a doubt a POS team!!

Although I don’t like to see ex-Kings players fail, this without a doubt makes the trade look better.

But the key know is for PLD to continue to play like this!

Makes you wonder if they would have tried this if Kopitar had skated over for the puck. Sounds like QB needed Englund riding shotgun with him, that probably would have cooled the Oilers’ heels a bit.

Wow, didn't see it, but I thought about the puck as the play ended.

Kings need to set a tone in the last regular season meeting against this team. I’d like to see Englund absolutely truck Kane or Hyman, and then smoke whoever comes to their defense with the knuckles. Putting one of these two down a few notches will pay massive dividends in a potential playoff matchup, because those guys both like to bring it the other way.

Kevin Bieksa has always been a super annoying human being... aka...another dick

Dude, as long as I've been watching NHL hockey, the Oilers have always been the scumbags of the league. And I've always hated them, from Semenko and Tikkanen to Kane and Hyman, cement-headed scumbags all.

Man I wish I was at the game last night. I'm green with envy for anyone here that got to see that win in person. Even watching at home that was the highlight of my year so far (although the 49ers losing the Super Bowl tonight was a close second!)

Whenever I see Zach Hyman's ridiculous goal stats I can't help but think of Jonathan Cheechoo's 56 goal season.
