Yeah, but, like, about 27% of that is just a continuous shot of Batfleck sitting on a cushy chair in the darkest corner of a dark room repeating the name "Martha" with different inflections.

Puzzling. Maybe going with the R rating was a mistake. You would imagine, if there is an audience for a non male* superhero, (and there is...See:Wonder Woman), you would have thought this would have done SOOOOOOO much better. Yes...it looks overwhelming. More Tank Girl (which is entirely fantastic btw) than WW, but still. Kind of inexplicable. Shame really because I love the overall ODDness and apparently some real Deadpool like violence and humor. And reviews all say it has terrific action...wire fighting, as well as a segment that was part of reshoots with John Wick director. I just can't figure out how this is going to be a pretty considerable flop.


btw, * because I didn't want to offend by characterizing it as a FEMALE superhero flick. Figured non male was less likely to o-ffend

I want my kid to see a Harley Quinn movie, but she's six... That said, I love that it's R. Kid is gonna have to wait sucka!

I have a complaint about this. The most memorable, and longest use of a song is a rousing version of Black Betty, by Spiderbait(a bunch of male Aussies). Maybe they aren't on the official soundtrack, but...that claim of all-female should have an asterisk.


btw, this is an argument for correcting the all female boast. Not presented with any kind of gender slant. So...save it.

I don't know. I ended up liking it pretty much. For the first half of the film I couldn't stand the movie and then it picked up the pace. She is an amazing Harley, no question, and the cast was pretty good. I enjoyed how they introduced other comic characters and tried to keep it as a story arc. I will say it felt like a true comic book story (in a movie) with some of the zanyness of a comic story.
