Also, look at LA. They were pretty much in the same boat as the Blackhawks after their Cup runs in the mid 2010s. Cap constrained, beat up, aging core, all that jazz. A few years rebuilding, and they?re up there in the standings, playoffs bound.
?Only difference is they started there rebuild quick and didn't pretend to be contenders for 5+ years.
Oilers lost 5-1. If I pretend to know nothing about hockey, I can pretend we?re better than the Oilers.
