The most important thing right now is remaining positive and not letting this test result stress me to death. The stress will kill you quicker than the cancer.

There is no definitive proof it's cancer. It was just a preliminary test.

But cancer runs on both sides of my family: My grandmother, two aunts, my mother, my father and my sister... all died of cancer.

But I am the ultimate cockroach. I'm very very hard to kill. I've been pronounced dead at the scene many times. I even wrote a book about it called "Lucky?" (with a question mark).

I know how you feel Rob or Reg,stay positive and best of luck to you.My brother passed away from Non Hodgkins Lymphoma,my father in law passed away from throat cancer,my mom passed away from bladder cancer and kidney disease.My wife had thyroid cancer and fortunately they were able to remove all the cancer,and she is still here today

Rough week. Had a preliminary cancer test come back positive. Been in the hospital.
.lots of testing... but I'm very optimistic this was either a false positive or the source of the bleeding was a non-cancerous tumor.

What's scary is this was related to the colon. 20 years ago, almost to the day, my father died at the same exact age I am today. And he died of colon cancer.

But I'm remaining positive. I have more tests on the 25th. I feel fine. No complaints. But the fecal occult was positive.

So yeah, kind of busy week... wasn't expecting a Sunday morning game.

Oh well I'll catch the next one........

My Dad too died of colon cancer when he was fairly young, a little older than I am now. Just about everyone in my family died of cancer, too. Waiting to see if my Mom's radiation treatment worked. They've been sticking cameras up my ass for a long time now because of family history. Haven't found anything of interest yet. I think I'm due for another colon modeling session very soon.

Like I mentioned missed the game attending a wedding. From the highlights and the commentary here it sounds like 2 points is 2 points. Remember though, this penguins team was predicted to miss the playoffs badly and is currently waaaay better than that. Next up is another team well outperforming expectations. Darcy keeps giving them chances, lets hope they keep taking advantage.

I missed the game and I missed this post. Glad to hear you’re in good spirts bud, all things considered. Hoping to hear soon it was a false positive, but if it wasn’t then wishing you all the strength to handle it. I know you’re a strong willed dude and I believe in you.
