Weird ass start times for a lot of the non 1PM games on Saturday as well. 4 PM, 5 PM, 6 PM?

I mean I guess it's good to get home early and still be able to enjoy the rest of the Saturday evening... but still, really weird.

Glad they'll get they'll annual blowout in Buffalo out of the way the first game of the season.
Funny, sad but true. I believe the last 2 games were 6-0 and 7-0. I recall that game in 2006 the Kings lost 10-1 in Buffalo and then couldn't get out of town until the next morning. Place has been a house of horrors.

Wtf is up with all of those 1pm Saturday games? I wouldn’t mind it, given that it leaves Saturday night open for bitches and booze, but we know the Kings track record with Saturday afternoon games. Oof..

Especially now with Clippers having their own arena. One would think scheduling would be more flexible.

These earlier start games are a big deal for parents with kids. Last season there were only 4 games I could take my 6-year-old to because literally every other game would have gotten us home at 11pm or later.

Unless you all want the Kings fan base to slowly die off, we need these earlier start games so we can brainwash our kids into becoming Kings fans.

That's a pretty poor schedule to be honest. They should have scheduled the early starts on Sundays, rather than Saturdays. Definitely seems like the Kings have fallen out of primetime.

Look dude, if I am willing to forsake bitches and booze on the occasional Saturday night, so that the Kings don’t have to play those afternoon trap games, you’re just gonna have to make a small sacrifice, as well. Speaking of sacrifice, the old gods are always willing to take crotch goblins in trade for favors, and the Kings are going to need all the extra juice we can afford them this upcoming season. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Hot Take: I think the professional athletes on our team need to suck it up and learn how to play in the afternoon. All their opponents seem to do just fine.

Why the long road trip to start the season? Could be a good thing though.

I get a birthday game this year! Been a while! :awesome:

Remember peeps, if the Kings play on your birthday and they win, you can take ALL the credit, haha.

But if they lose, don't say anything, lol. :noidea:

Two weeks into the season before we get a home game kinda sucks. At least we won't be flying back from Australia.

Nah...it's like the good old days. Start off with a long road trip. Actually, it's really only 5 games since the last two are in ANA and Vegas.

Note also the Kings are home (or not playing) most if not all of February.

jom

20 weekend games...mostly with odd puck drop times. 5:00pm? 6:00 pm? 4:00 pm? Not a single 7:30 pm start time for any Friday - Saturday - Sunday games.

How 'bout the BLUES in March? Play at Kings Wednesday - Ducks Friday - then back to Kings Saturday.
