Explosion kills 3 LASD deputies in East LA; Santa Monica investigation possibly tied to blast
Officers spent hours searching a Santa Monica apartment building where the device that exploded and killed three deputies may have originally come from.
RIP to Deputy Joshua Kelley-Eklund, Deputy Victor Lemus and Deputy William Osborn all assigned to the LASD Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) Arson & Explosive Detail. They were killed this morning at the LASD Biscailuz Training Facility in East Los Angeles headquarters of the SEB Arson & Explosive Detail. Law Enforcement sources have said the Deputies were killed when a supposedly inert bomb that was brought back from a a callout in Santa Monica exploded in the parking lot. Between the 3 deputies they had a total of 74 years experience at LASD.Please say a prayer for Deputy Joshua Kelley-Eklund, Deputy Victor Lemus and Deputy William Osborn, their families & friends and to all my brothers and sisters at LASD.
