I get twitchy if I go too long without ice hockey. I can't believe I have to wait for 9 more days to see the Kings play again. But in the meantime I have no intention of signing up for any streaming services or renewing Sling. I just don't watch enough TV to justify the cost, which leaves me with the option of an illegal stream from some Maldovan website to watch Four Nations.
I just hope the rest benefits the Kings. Poor Kopi looks like he's skating in lead boots the last few weeks.

I think the 2 games played out like I wanted them to. Canada & Sweden both got points but neither got 3, which the US did. Kempe was great. I knew this was going to be a good opportunity for him. Doughty had a few miscues but he wasn’t bad. Other than that, Crosby was incredible & Binnington sucks. They’d be foolish if they stuck with him over Hill.
In the US Finland game, it’s hard to believe it was 2-1 after 2 periods. But that penalty at the end of the period changed everything. If you’re Maatta, why are you taking a penalty with 3 seconds left? Are you preventing a goal? That was pretty dumb. OTOH, putting the Tkachuks together with Eichel was genius. That line was amazing. They definitely need to be kept together. I can’t believe I’m rooting for those guys but I am. And I’m sure a bunch of Kings fans were freaking out over Faber getting an assist. Anyway, great game by the US & I can’t wait for Saturday. Both games actually.
