All Things:AMC television

Mild spoilers

Well Sweet Shi_e F_ _ _adoodle. That my friend was this show finally getting off the goddamned ground. While I understand that they had to launch the show from a more narrative based format, up until the second half of the finale', it was NOT Preacher. As soon as faux God entered the picture Rogen and company FINALLY embraced what made this comic what it was. F'd up beyond repair. I am HORRIBLY optimistic about the show going forward just when I had lost 'faith' in the direction. Getting the Quincannon story out of the way(if we are done with him) was actually a solid move. And substituting meat baby for what happened in the comics is fair enough. Trust me, the real God of Meat is far more perverse and bizarre than what you saw. Still not totally sold on Tulip, and Jesse is finally showing signs of becoming the Jesse from the comics...but now, hopefully they dive head first into the crazed road trip that the comic was. Trust me...I think, after we had to patiently sit through some really boring stuff, things are gonna get real interesting.
I still don't know about the comics, although Tulip and the vampire on the show look almost nothing like the comic pictures I've seen posted. So what the roadtrip is them going through a blazed world with no god and saving people along the way?

And what about the church keyboard girl who fed our vampire? Since god was gone and it's all apocalyptic, couldn't he have fancied her a courtesy shag before taking off?

HACF S3 Sneak-Peak Premiere was great last night. Nice to have the whole gang back together again.

Well, that was fun, spending an entire hour with the insane son whose whole act got tired well before the end of the last batch of episodes. I can't wait for the episode we spend an entire hour with the other insane son who is even more annoying.

Hey, we're some roving group of somewhat evil zombie killers, let's waste bullets shooting at a kid running into the brush! Then we will stand in the road and shoot at a horde of zombies until they catch up to us and rip us apart!

The desert setting and south of the border aspect of the show do at least give it a different feel than the main show. But kill one of the lunatic kids and bring back the girl from the plane already.

that's just rude. Look, Nick is the best character next to Strand. It was quiet...but that's what THIS SHOW is going for. It's different, and that is why it's good. The whole Dia De Los Muertos...nice vibe. After the LOUDNESS that the parent show is gonna shoot for...this weird little show oughtta spawn the next big bad for The Walking Dead. Imagine, if this is all for us to watch Nick turn into some Che Guevarra for the dead in the ultimate crossover.

Stannis Jr. was a great character when he stopped being insane for a while and used his walker wandering skills strategically. Watching him advance straight into two guys who were capping his new buddies right in left was really stupid, and his ridiculous luck survival was lame. Him not going back for his stuff and a shiny baseball bat after getting some sleep was also dumb. He should end up in Herschel's barn with Sophia at this rate.

Otherwise I love the different look, as I thought I said, and I have no problem spending entire episodes with specific characters if it is worth my time.

And someone tell AMC not to bother with the Carl version of their 'history of this Walking Dead character who might eat a spiked baseball bat' promos, because John Winchester made it pretty clear that Carl and Rick were not going to be the tee for his impending at-bat.

I just want to add that I hope they go all out and make the Aaron version of that Walking Dead promo.

So... was it just me, or did Shower Zombie look EXACTLY like Chris Hardwick? I know Talking Dead was pre-taped but I didn't even see a peep on Twitter.
