Ok...so it was a bold move to start the homestretch w/WALT...removed of all signs of Heisenberg. Clearly at the mercy/sub to Skyler as an attempt to win back his family. That scene at the car wash where he is puppydogging so hard to please her was almost unwatchable...

But just when you thought he was out.

Man, Dean Norris...yeah, that's his name. You owe it to him to know it. He has always been a decent 'that guy', but the simmering rage/disbelief in this episode, man...that was some damned fine stuff there. Hank has always been a bit of a goof. Even he had questions about his manhood. But...no more. Between Hank and Heisenberg,(not Walt...Walt is neuter) there will be scorched earth.

And Jesse...the only thing that is going to rouse him out of his self hatred is his eventual discovery of just how bad old Heisenberg has broke. The scene where Walt outright LIED to his face and basically told him 'I need you to believe this', also very strong stuff.

So if you really want to run a pool it really should be

What is going to end Walt/Heisenberg

Hank Schrader
Jesse Pinkman
Cancer

As far as Low Winter Sun...it was a rather straightforward episode. Not the strongest start, but be patient folks...I have no doubt that these stories will intersect and great hijinks will ensue. I was expecting this to launch Mark Strong, and I am sure it will eventually, but Lennie James sure was fierce. Always liked him a lot too. Stick with this folks, BB started slowish too.

Now that I think about it...where is 'busted' ginger Matt Damon? Is he the substitute that Walt left in place for his former business partner? And, certainly, that storyline has yet to play out too...maybe that's the need for the heavy artillery?

Fantastic episode. I loved how they got right into it. No pussyfooting around.

The balls of Walt to go into Hank's home and basically dare him to try to stop Heisenberg. Hank doesn't have the balls to stop Walt and Walt knows that.

It's been established that Hank really is a cowering bitch inside the macho exterior. Think back to him losing it at the site of Tortuga's head on top of the tortoise and the bar fight he got into to prove he's a "bad ass." Ultimately, Hank is terrified of Walt because he knows how powerful, smart and ruthless he(Heisenberg) is and I don't think Hank has it in him to bring Walt down.

Exactly. Someone sit down the writers of "The Walking Dead" and force them to watch this one friggin' episode over and over and over again, until it finally dawns on their dim-witted minds: THIS is how you build up conflict and release!

Yeah...you don't want to hold yer breath on that one.
Since you are the teaching mode, tell them(AMC) to look at the history of showrunner relationships that Fx has nurtured.
Once again, don't hold yer breath.

BTW, in case anyone was wondering, I'm 2 episodes away from finishing season 3 of Breaking Bad. So ****ing good.

Having to be very careful about stepping into this thread.

You're a brave man. I was having a couple of beers with a friend yesterday who is catching up, had to be very delicate. "So, are you up to, uhhhh, El Pollos Hermanos yet?" "Does the name "Mike" mean anything to you?"
