All Things:AMC television

Yeah that was pretty darn good ... never say her coming out of the barn! At least that story line is done!!!

Any guesses on how she got there? Like Hershel's people had found her zombied and brought her in or she somehow snuck in?

Gotta figure they did the 'stray zombie' thing with her. Shane can't live much longer. The scene where he lost his **** was pretty impressive. But really, he is becoming just too loud and too big of a threat. Everyone, by default, seems to look to Rick, yet NOBODY turned down taking a gun and cleaning out the barn. Was sad to see Sophia come out of the barn, that whole sequence was pretty powerful. Overall good stuff, my biggest complaint...FEBRUARY??????? FEBRUARY?????? Are you ****ing kidding me?????? Two months between mini seasons is ridiculous. Way to kill momentum. Hopefully this is simply because of the Darabont situation and future seasons won't be mickey-moused like this.

I was thinking the stink from a whole barn full of walkers was what kept others disinterested in the farm. Now with their cover blown wonder if the sweet smell of Maggie flesh will attract more. Guess we won't know until we've pretty much forgotten damn near everything and everyone. ****ing LAAAAAME.

Don't worry, AMC will have marathons of the first six to the point of overkill. What we learned about the barn opening, zombies can go from utter darkness to BRIGHT sunlight without the usual human reaction of blinking and covering up their eyes with their forearms...take that vampires!!!!

Regarding how Sophia got there Kirkman revealed on The Talking Dead show that it was Otis's job to fish out stuck zombies (as Herschel noted to Rick). Shane killed Otis too soon to even have the group let Herschel's people know they were looking for a lost little girl. Nicatero was on the show as well and noted that they actually shot the "reveal" of Sophia two ways - one the way it ended up and another with her looking normal with no zombie make-up on. The idea was that the group would see Sophia how they wanted to see her. I wonder if Rick would have shot her if that had happened?

Really a great episode but the two month wait is totally stupid and very much how AMC does things.

That would have been pretty powerful but they probably figgered it would confuse a lot of the simpler watchers of the show. Yeah, 2 months is ridiculous. I hope that is simply due to the Darabont ouster, cause if they start pulling that crap every season it's gonna wear on folks.

Not sure if anyone is still watching Hell on Wheels, but patience has paid off. The story has developed nicely and while it's still not in the ranks of Breaking Bad/Walking Dead it certainly is worth watching. They finally have moved away from Bohannon's pursuit of revenge and given a lot of time to multiple stories of the interesting camp folk. Wes Studi has been added as a part timer and that's not a bad thing. Finally good characters have been given something more to do than the standard western vengeance tale. Roenick, you still on board???? Dex???

Missed the last two weeks. Was it on last night? I turned over to AMC and Breaking Bad was on. I will have to see if it is available for taking a look at some other time this week.

Yeah, the last two episodes have paid off in spades. What I was expecting from this show from the beginning. Apparently the ratings are pretty solid even though it loses like 50% of the audience from Walking Dead. Should be interesting to see how it does without the lead in.

Started watching Breaking Bad a few weeks ago. Just finished season 2. Absolutely loving it.

TV Bits: Vince Gilligan Has No Idea How ?Breaking Bad? Will End, Plus: Aaron Sorkin, ?New Girl?, ?Up All Night?, Syfy?s ?Defiance? | /Film

Given that the last four seasons of AMC?s Breaking Bad have provided some of the most exciting twists and turns in recent TV history, and given the fact that the series has only 16 episodes left to go, you?d think it?d be reasonable to assume the team behind the show knows exactly where it?s headed. However, in a recent interview with Today.com, showrunner/creator Vince Gilligan admitted that in fact, he has no idea. ?Wish I did,? he said. ?I have certain hopes and dreams for how the characters will wind up, but I don?t have anything nailed down plot-wise.?

Gilligan?s lack of a plan is actually nothing new for the show. He?s talked in the past about the writing team ?actively try[ing] to paint ourselves into corners at the end of episodes ? at the end of seasons, at the end of scenes sometimes,? and so far it?s worked out beautifully for them. However, writing the ending of a popular series brings its own set of challenges. It?s all too easy to recall recent examples of finales that left fans confused, disappointed, or even irate, and Gilligan says he definitely feels the pressure.

?t keeps me awake at night. It gives me nightmares. The closer we get to the final episode, I assume the worse it?ll be,? he told Today.com. ?But that?s why we?re ending after 16. You want to go out with fans of the show still being fans. The best we can do is be disciplined and honest in our storytelling, and not go for the bells and whistles. Let the chips fall where they may.?

Breaking Bad?s fifth season is scheduled to enter production early next year, and will premiere sometime in 2012.
