So, last episode of Hell on Wheels, anyone? **SPOILERS**
Just watched it yesterday and... WTF?? Bohanon is kept alive by the Mormon dude that wanted him dead so badly he kidnapped him but agreed to have him marry his daughter instead? And the Swede keeps him alive for what purpose, exactly? What is the Swede thinking? "Let's see, my mortal enemy's fate is in my hands. He knows my true identity and desperately wants to kill me. One word from me, and he's a dead man. I know - to really make him suffer, I'll have him married off to the hot 18-year-old and live with him side-by-side so he has the opportunity to unmask me and/or kill me!" Cue evil laugh.
"Cake.. or Death?!" "I'll take the cake, please."
In addition to a brand new promo hyping up tomorrow night’s premiere, we’ve got two major casting breaks for AMC’s Season 4 of “The Walking Dead.”
“Retired at 35″ alum Josh McDermitt, pictured above, has joined the zombie drama in the series regular role of “Dr. Eugene Porter,” writes THR. He’ll be joined by “Southland” alum Michael Cudlitz, pictured below, as his traveling companion (and series regular role) “Abraham,” producers announced Saturday at New York Comic-Con, where the actor was a surprise addition, appearing in character from the audience.
[Warning: Spoilers from the comics series follow.]
Explains the site, in the Image/Skybound comics, Eugene is a former high school science teacher who first appears in the 53rd issue of the series. He travels with sports coach/Army Sgt. Abraham Ford (Cudlitz) and Rosita (new recurring player Christian Serratos).
The trio eventually crosses paths with Rick as they make their way to Washington. However, unbeknown to Rick as well as eventual couple Abraham and Rosita, Eugene is lying when he claims to know what caused the zombie outbreak and instead is using the physically superior former sports coach to protect him.
The character remains alive in the comics and proves to be a key part of Rick’s group, using his science know-how to manufacture ammunition.
Eugene for his part, disguises the fact that he’s a smart guy by altering his appearance in order to further protect himself.
The arrival of the characters also opens the door for the series to explore different locations than the prison.
Abraham, meanwhile, is a married father of two who following the outbreak returned from a hunt for supplies to find his wife and young daughter had both been raped and his young son force to watch. He ultimately kills the culprits and loses his family, who flee him in fear and are latter found, turned. He eventually becomes Rick’s right-hand man after his group loses a key member in battle.
“The Walking Dead” returns for its fourth season Sunday at 9 p.m. on AMC.
Cudlitz is a terrific character actor, can't wait to see how they misuse him.
Agree. First show was ok and had some interesting plot points. Interested to see where it goes. Bringing Cudlitz on is a totally win. He convinced me as "Bull" on Band of Brothers.
Dear Mister Cranston. I wanted to write you this email - so I am contacting you through Jeremy Barber - I take it we are both represented by UTA . Great agency.
I've just finished a marathon of watching "BREAKING BAD" - from episode one of the First Season - to the last eight episodes of the Sixth Season. (I downloaded the last season on AMAZON) A total of two weeks (addictive) viewing.
I have never watched anything like it. Brilliant!
Your performance as Walter White was the best acting I have seen - ever.
I know there is so much smoke blowing and sickening bull**** in this business, and I've sort of lost belief in anything really.
But this work of yours is spectacular - absolutely stunning. What is extraordinary, is the sheer power of everyone in the entire production. What was it? Five or six years in the making? How the producers (yourself being one of them), the writers, directors, cinematographers.... every department - casting etc. managed to keep the discipline and control from beginning to the end is (that over used word) awesome.
From what started as a black comedy, descended into a labyrinth of blood, destruction and hell. It was like a great Jacobean, Shakespearian or Greek Tragedy.
If you ever get a chance to - would you pass on my admiration to everyone - Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Aaron Paul, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte, Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Steven Michael Quezada - everyone - everyone gave master classes of performance ... The list is endless.
Thank you. That kind of work/artistry is rare, and when, once in a while, it occurs, as in this epic work, it restores confidence.
You and all the cast are the best actors I've ever seen. That may sound like a good lung full of smoke blowing. But it is not. It's almost midnight out here in Malibu, and I felt compelled to write this email.
Congratulations and my deepest respect. You are truly a great, great actor.
Best regards
Tony Hopkins
