All Things:AMC television

At first I thought Irish Zombie wife was a new strain...the talking dead. Weird choice with that makeup they gave her. Seriously gave her that zombie look. Pretty effective choice to NOT show her husband. Had me interested as hell. Half expected Rick to see her at the fence chow line at the end of the episode. Then again I thought she might have been another of Rick's visions.

Kerry Condon as Clara was the highlight of the show for me.

Clara was creepy and mysterious as hell. Great job by the actress.

It was an interesting, short little side story that left me wanting more.

Watched Talking Dead just for Nathan Fillion. Whoever decided to make it an hour... Ugh. Too long!

Oh and as far as what major player will die first I have whatshisnames sister(the gal that looks like Angela Basset) in the death pool as first to go.

I am betting the guy with alcohol issues ... What a mess that one bottle of wine turned into ...

No...I think he is gonna be around for a bit. Has all the earmarks of the melodramatic character flourishes they love on this show. Plus those guys have hard ons for ex-WIRE actors on that show. I think Tyrese's sister could die as early as next week. She has all the earmarks. Specifically no personality/charateristics other than being a favored member's loved one. Say bye bye.

Aaaaaah Walking Dead. Just like being a Cubs fan. The beginning of the season starts with SO much optimism. Maybe this is the year they DON'T squander what they have...maybe this is the year they take it all the way...which will most likely end with me cursing everyone involved and the manager(showrunner) getting the hook.

First off. Thank you. Carol is finally a show regular. Saw it in the credits and it put me in a good mood for the rest of the show. Prob'ly means she is gonna die...we'll see. REALLY liked a LOT of things but by the end of the show was already unsure of where they are going with some of them. I like all the new faces. Good work fleshing out characters in short scenes. Of course, 2 of them, the more promising ones, were killed off almost immediately. That's where I worry. Have they just brought in more folks to provide cannon fodder? Only one I don't care for is Stuckey(the alcoholic? ex medic) a) because who WOULDN'T be an alcoholic in that world and b) because I read an interview with the actor where he moaned about being on a show where you don't know if you are gonna live. After all he has a family to feed. Guess what pal, so do the rest of us. Welcome to the real world.
Best moment of the show was Darryl struggling with his fame and Carol calling him Pookie. Just too cute the two of them.

But some BAD puppetry on the fence as well as some SyFy bad cgi(the roof collapse).
I think next episode is going to make the mistake of being yet another bloodbath of faceless folks. No reason to let tension build or make us regret the deaths of these people...got to feed what you think the viewers want. WRONG.
A good start that really only has me waiting for the inevitable let down. Maybe I will watch the shows in reverse at the end of the season so I can end with some good will.

I'm so glad I'm not the only thinking along those lines with that chick in the woods. I was just waiting for her to bite Rick during her first scene.....Solid episode all around. I'm glad Carol is showing the little kids how to use knives, but apparently Rick is against it. I also ahve the feeling that there are too many people in the group now, and you just know half of them are gonna be zombie feed. Anyways, looking forward to next week's episode!

Holy crap, that was the chick from Unleashed?!?! She's all growed up.

Definitely thought that bit was the highlight of the show, other than the gore/blood stuff which had me laughing out loud.

I do like a lot of the setup they did with this episode, but like every single other person in the world who watches this show, I am worried that they will find a way to mess it up at some point.

So, the kid who died in the shower... the same thing/virus that killed the pig?

Oooooooh. Didn't even think about a connection between the two. Swine Flu?

BREAKING BAD Spinoff BETTER CALL SAUL Will Feature Apperances by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul | Collider

Though Breaking Bad the series is now over, it appears that the Bad universe will live on for some time. AMC sought to extend the life of its incredibly popular drama series by ordering a prequel spinoff focusing on Bob Odenkirk?s Saul Goodman character, and now Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan is working with Better Call Saul showrunner (and creator of the Goodman character) Peter Gould to shape the vision of the series. Initially envisioned as a half-hour comedy, Gilligan now says he and Gould have decided to expand the show to an hourlong format that will be shot in Albuquerque and maintain the visual palette of Breaking Bad. Moreover, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are expected to pop up on Better Call Saul in a cameo capacity, reprising their lead Breaking Bad characters.

Finally watched what is likely the series finale of Low Winter Sun. What a horrible disappointment. Mark Strong's character is completely unlikeable as are almost all the players on the show. Overly dark and just dreary. Like Detroit, where it is based.

TWD was pretty good again tonight. They resolved the "virus" issue I thought well. All these kinds of things would be a concern in a world gone bad like this one.

I am afraid after two decent episodes they are going to screw it up somehow.

It was very good. Nice of them not to drag out Rick's "I'm done killing" phase for too long. And it did seem to rub off on Carl enough to bring him out of his sociopath phase.

I still am not impressed with anyone who leaves any zombie alive when it can be killed. If they killed every zombie that came to the gates when it came to the gates, they wouldn't be able to pile up like that against the fence. Also there would be fewer zombies to stumble into when people go outside.
