All Things:Animated

Insanity. I'll take Incredibles over just about any Pixar flick, but all three of the Toy Story movies are great.

The Brad Bird flicks are the cream of the crop in my mind. Cars is the only stinker I can think of... but I haven't seen Toy Story or Toy Story 2 or Bugs Life in ages.

Warner Bros. Brings Iconic Looney Tunes To Blu-Ray For The First Time

There will be two options with the Volume One set: a standard digibook version and an Ultimate Collector?s Edition. Both sets will contain two discs full of episodes, and a third disc chock full of bonus features. However, the Ultimate Collector?s Edition will be dressed to the nines. Running at $79.98, each set will be numbered for exclusivity, and will come with a 52-page color book. Other extras with the nicer set include a character shot glass, a tin magnet, and a certificate of authenticity. Apparently Warner Bros. expects everyone to be as excited about this as I am.

Anyone watching the Iron Man series that's new on G4 network?

We're Getting Another TOY STORY Short In Front Of THE MUPPETS!
Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.

According to the official Disney Pixar Twitter feed, one cartoon short was just not enough for the TOY STORY characters this year. We'll be getting "Small Fry" in front of November's THE MUPPETS. The Toy Story characters and the Muppets in one movie expperience - that may just be too much joy for mere mortals to handle.

Watch a Scene From Studio Ghibli

Many of us have seen, or at least have heard of, the 1989 animated film Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland (seen above). Based on the groundbreaking comic strip by Winsor McCay, it centers on a young boy and the wild adventures he has in his dreams. Long before its release, the film went through years of development hell and, at one point, was actually being developed by Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Ultimately, Miyazaki and his team left the project and it became something very different, but a clip has now surfaced that gives us an idea of what Little Nemo in Dreamland, the Ghibli version of the film, might have been.

I really liked the cartoon (and Nintendo game) when I was a kid.

Just got back from seeing "Winnie the Pooh" at our cheap theater, haven't laughed so hard at a animated movie in a long time, plenty of jokes that went over kids heads and stick around through the entire credits, its worth it! First movie I can remember seeing in a theater was "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" (1977) so it brought back some warm memories.
