I'm not sure what that means. I have been overruled....that it looks like hot asscrack? Or that it may actually be funny?

Ted starts off as a Frosty The Snowman type fantasy as a lonely young boy in the mid-?80s can?t seem to make any friends. Patrick Stewart narrates and in classic MacFarlane style occasionally gets sidetracked from setting up this story, but the main thrust is that it?s Christmas and this lonely boy gets a big teddy bear that says ?I love you? when you hug him.

That night the boy makes a Christmas wish. He wishes that Teddy would really talk with him so they could be best friends. Low and behold his wish comes true and he has a walking, talking friend.

The excited little boy introduces Ted to his parents (played by Family Guy?s Alex Borstein and Ralph Garman) who, naturally freak the **** out when their son?s stuffed bear walks into the kitchen greeting them in a sweet child?s voice.

Ted becomes a world-wide story, becomes hot ****, but through it all he?s young John?s best friend first and foremost. Cut to modern day and little John is now Mark Wahlberg and Ted is still his best friend? but now smokes weed, uses a lot of vulgarities and a truckload of not-so-subtle innuendo.

In other words they?re just regular slacker friends except one of them happens to be a stuffed animal voiced by Seth MacFarlane (very Peter Griffin).

They also showed the red band trailer, which goes a little further in setting up the triangle of the movie, as Ted gets in the way of Wahlberg?s relationship with his longtime girlfriend played by Mila Kunis. One final bit of footage was an excerpt from a They Live style knockdown, drag-out fight between Wahlberg and the teddy bear. It?s a bit similar to the Mel Gibson/Beaver fight from Jodie Foster?s flick, but with a little more comedic oomph.

From the Temple of Doom poster on young John?s wall to overly raunchy dialogue this weird bit of live action from MacFarlane seems right up my alley.

The panel itself was also really fun. At one point they said they had a surprise and MacFarlane announced that he brought Charlie Sheen with him. Out walked Wahlberg, sniffing loudly and rubbing his nose, which got a huge laugh from the crowd.

Broken Lizard Says ‘Super Troopers 2′ Script Is Done | Geeks of Doom

Fans of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe and their movies have a special place in their hearts for the group’s first successful flick, Super Troopers, which tells the story of a department of Vermont state police who tend to not take their work too seriously and are facing losing their jobs if the state decides to shut them down and let the local police department handle things.

Whether you like Broken Lizard’s movies or not, none of the movies that have followed Super Troopers have come nearly as close to being as lastingly quotable and hilarious as that movie is to this day. Because of that, fans have been waiting patiently for another chapter in the lives of these lovable cops for the near-eleven years since the first film was made…and now they may just be close to getting their Super Troopers 2.


Speaking to IFC at SXSW recently, troupe members Jay Chandrasekhar and Kevin Heffernan confirmed that a sequel was coming, and that they’re hoping it will be soon.

Chandrasekhar explained, saying:

“We’re hoping to make ‘Super Troopers 2′ eventually.

We’ve written the script and as soon as we figure out a little sort of legal thing with Fox, I think we’ll hopefully get a chance to make that.”

Heffernan also chimed in, saying “It’s ready to go.”

Super Troopers is easily one of my personal favorite comedies and I’m also a fan of Broken Lizard’s other flicks as well, so this is good, good news. Of course, it’s also hard to get too excited when you see something involving FOX and “legal things” that need to be sorted out.

Hopefully, if we’re lucky, it’s not too complicated a problem to solve and the crew can get to work on Super Troopers 2 after their latest movie, The Babymakers, is released.

I refuse to allow you to throw poop at this. IT WILL BE GOOD. IT WILL BE FUNNY, maybe not part 1 funny, but certainly Beerfest funny. Meow knock it off. And leave Slammin Salmon alone. It was decent for what it was...a little quickie movie that they made outside of the studio system.

It was "Party Down : The Movie" or maybe Party Down was "Slammin Salmon :The TV Show".... either way.... Party Down did it way better.

I hope that wasn't the producer of this steaming pile of a "movie" when I joked about the original Toot Fairy (at a Salvation Army kettle stand either last year or the year before) saying...

It couldn't have been worse had they cast Larry the Cable Guy over The Rock...

Looks like that one backfired BIG time... Sorry about that...

You continue to bewilder me Doc. I would have had you writing this off as Ferrell trying desperately to be ironically funny in a hipster-esque move that reeked of desperation. Glad I was wrong.

Sure there's a hint of it... but the guy makes such consistently funny movies that it's hard not to look forward to it.

thoughts and prayers...I know it's easy to dismiss him but back in my video store days we used to play his tapes all the time. He was funnier and more clever than just the watermelon smashing.

I just wished I had a better experience wtih him...but being fired for "upstaging" him (as one of his paid hecklers) and being sued after the fact sort of soured me on him... I'm just glad the judge ruled in my favor...
