All Things:Comedy

Not true though. Comedians and software devs have offered their product for "pay what you want" for a long while and people have been plenty giving.

All I'm saying, is prove you're not just posturing and you're willing to stand on principle.

Have I mentioned that there is a LOT of money involved here...hippy.

Well done! Just have to say how nice it is to see Mike Myers again, and can I PLEASE have my Austin Powers sequel now?

They should take the rights to James Bond away from Sony and give it to a studio that isn't a bunch of cowards. And can put out a movie every two years like they are supposed to.

'The Interview' available online starting today

Starting Wednesday afternoon, you can watch the controversial Sony Pictures comedy "The Interview" via YouTube, Google Play, the Microsoft Xbox video game console and a special Web site.
The movie will cost $5.99 to rent and $14.99 to buy.

Sony said in a statement that it will become available at around 1 p.m. ET on Christmas Eve. Sony said its dedicated site, SeeTheInterview.com, will be done in partnership with Kernel and secure payments system Stripe.
The extraordinary announcement encapsulated days of negotiations between Sony and a number of potential Internet distribution partners.
As a result, "The Interview" will have a historic simultaneous release in both living rooms and about 300 independently-owned theaters across the United States.
An earlier plan to rent "The Interview" through Apple's iTunes store broke down, according to two of the sources, but it could re-materialize sometime after Christmas.
As for the physical release on Thursday, the studio's list of participating theaters includes about 300 that will start showing it on Christmas and dozens of others that will start showing it on January 1 or 2. Some of the Christmas Day screenings are already sold out.
"With what looks like a seriously limited release, limited supply is yielding substantial demand," the fan web site Moviepilot said.

As a pet-lover, the moment I heard that Ryan Reynolds plays a guy who talks to his cat and dog in Marjane Satrapi‘s The Voices, I was in. Then I heard about the darker components of the film and they totally won over the horror-lover in me. Then, on top of that, Adam called The Voices one of his favorite films from the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and dubbed it “one of the best dark comedies in years.” We’ve showed you some images from The Voices, but now it’s time to get a taste of what Adam loved so much about the film in its very first trailer.
The story structuring is a bit off and the piece isn’t as effective as I hoped, but it still presents the concept as an outrageous blast, keeping hopes high for the full feature. Hit the jump to watch The Voices trailer and be sure to keep an eye out for Adam’s high praise for the film in the promo. The Voices is scheduled to hit theaters and VOD on February 6th, and also stars Gemma Arterton, Anna Kendrick and Jacki Weaver.
