Unfortunately, it is a poorly written article taken from somewhere else. MTV is remaining on the air worldwide but the MTV music only subchannels are being discontinued in the UK and maybe other countries. I think they should just stick a fork in it for the entire network and wouldn't be surprised if it shuts down in the next few years.

Ah. noted. Yeah the music part seems obsolete. When I used to buy weed, all the "trap" dispensaries (because eff taxes, support local) would have youtube music videos playing on all the TVs.
