The Booth At The End.
Watch it already.
Okay, I accidentally saw the brief episode description for one of the season 2 episodes when I launched Hulu Plus. The good news is that it was the first thing that popped up, so they are pushing the show, but it looks like the show has already gone wacky. Is that so? I was going to wait for s2 to finish its run, so I could watch them all in a row, but I may start in on the straight away instead.
but it looks like the show has already gone wacky. Is that so?
The very premise of the show is "wacky". There's a dude who spends his days in a booth in a diner making wishes come true for people.... provided they complete a task he gives them.
I guess what I mean by "gone wacky" is there was the first season just had the one location and focused primarily on the tasked. The synopsis I saw for one of the second season episodes made it seem like they were straying from the formula a bit?
Watching BOOTH AT THE END on HULUplus. Doc was right. This **** is brilliant. Brilliant.
Ok, so more about The Booth at the End...in 22 minutes ALL centered in the booth of a diner, this show manages to create more of a cohesive world and vision than shows with twice the time and 3x the budget. It speaks to changing the dynamics of the hour long drama. It's terrifically well thought out, written and acted. I had trouble w/my Hulu at first...far inferior to Netflix...freezes constantly, and I almost gave up. So glad I didn't. All the action occurs offscreen, and somehow that makes it more compelling. The only small complaint is that they have a black card identifying everytime there's a character entering the booth. When they initially come that's necessary, but it doesn't need doing once you know the characters. Minor complaint. I LOVE this show. If you have HULU...watch it, if you don't, get it just for this. It's that good.
I'm so thrilled that you like this show.
Re: the nameplates... the show was originally conceived and "aired" as two minute episodes. They were later compiled into 22 minute episodes.
Not sure if you've begun watching season 2 or not yet. I wasn't as apprehensive as some about the direction the show was heading but after the 3rd episode I'm beginning to get a little squirrely. But still enjoying the hell out of it.
Ok, then that makes sense. I got to the part....
I'm pretty sure that's the end of Episode 5 you're talking about. Only 5 episodes in Season 1. I imagine it'll be the same in Season 2.
