All Things:Science Fiction/Fantasy

I agree it it somewhat bland but i do like the main characters and i thought that last episode was really good.

This is my feeling, as well. I like some of the give and take between Urban and Ealy and it keeps being just interesting/different enough to keep me in it.

The Simpsons had a Veggie Tales parody about Moses.

So Moses, who is a Pickle, goes to the King of Egypt, who is a tomato, and tells him...

*wait for it*

It's time to let my pickles go.

I laughed and am five years old. mhihi:

Anyone seen the trailer for Tom Cruise's new scifi flick, Edge of Tomorrow?? We saw it the other day in advance of Suhhhhmaaaaaaaoooooowg and it looked really good (aside from the Tom a Cruise part). The book (All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka) is one I read in 2012 and really loved. I hope the movie holds up.

SOUNDTRACK BY RAMIN DJAWADI...which is awesome.

High hopes for this one...

Yeah...said a few pages ago the ComiCon panel for this one really sold it. Didn't know Djawdi was doing the score...that is nice. No word of mouth on it either way so far but watch this space...

What a bad re-titling, though. Can we not come up with something more original-sounding than "Edge of Tomorrow?" Heck, the tag-line of LIVE/DIE/REPEAT is a more interesting movie title and conveys the story better.

Been a Renny Harlin(Die Hard 2/Long Kiss Goodnight/Adventures of Ford Fairlaine/Cliffhanger and so on) fan for a long time...but this looks...terrible. By the way, DEEP BLUE SEA, rools.

Blu-ray Review: Riddick | High-Def Digest

Final Thoughts

Although the pace is sadly a bit sluggish in the middle, 'Riddick' manages to churn out plenty of entertaining action and makes for a good entry in the ever-expanding series. With Twohy's dazzling camerawork, imaginative production design and Diesel's performance as the eponymous antihero, the second sequel will maintain devotees wanting more but will not likely garner a larger fanbase. The Blu-ray arrives with an excellent, reference-quality audio and video presentation, and with a healthy selection of bonuses that includes the director's cut with an alternate ending, the overall package is definitely worth checking out.

“There’s a very human story at the heart of it because there’s a few of us that are humans in it that are up against tribes and problematic issues that exist in the world that we exist in. It’s happening all over the world at the moment and you see it happening all over. People have savaged their own lands and their own environment and they’re having to find a new environment in which to move into through the hostility of others. If there’s something as poignant as that that we can relate to and that we see unfolding in everyday life, then it will make it a worthwhile story.”
