Breaking the first book into two is a good start. Well, unless, it bombs, lol, and the second movie doesn't get made.

Either way, I am cheering for this. :hockey2:

Oh, and to paraphrase Herbert, "He who controls the pumpkin spice, controls the white women." mhihi: :manybeers:

The natural break for me would be around when the 'thopter goes down. Split Paul's story between pre- and post- Fremen. Start the second movie as he meets Stilgar and the troop.

Or maybe once he settles in to Tabr. Then you can do a time jump and start the second movie once he's about to become a rider.

Just want to say that the 2018 re-master of 2001: A Space Odyssey is still in IMAX theaters for another couple of days. I saw it at CityWalk, and I probably won't be able to see it again, so I'm not sure how it will play in other venues, but it was definitely worth it for me. I had some preconceptions and reservations going in, but I just left them at the door and enjoyed it as it was.

Oh, and I should add that if you just plain haven't seen it or haven't seen it in the cinema for a long time (or ever), it's a must to see it in ginormous format.

Haha. Spell-check approves of "ginormous."

Dave Bautista Joins Timoth?e Chalamet in Denis Villeneuve?s ?Dune?

All the casting choices so far have been very interesting and if Bautista is playing Rabban it really makes me curious to who they could possibly get for bigger roles like the Baron or Feyd. So unfair to judge Villeneuve's talent/vision on Blade Runner 2049. That was a good movie and people not seeing it was shame on them ...

It should be Sting again. And apparently, he was willing to go nude in the first one.

It's not too late!!! mhihi: :manybeers:

Great PICK for this role!

Regarding Feyd - how about

Or keep it in family

Or a true wild card (and I really wouldn't know how they could pull it off nor may he truly be interested in playing such a villian) ...

Jordan...hurm. That interests me. Not sure it would work, but it's interesting.
