The good news - someone is going to finally make this the right way - as a television series.
The bad news - the all access format is just another cash grab by a media outlet making tons of cash already. Would've loved to see it on Showtime instead.

CBS is going all out on this service though. A good The Stand series could be a game changer. I wanted to check out that Star Trek series, but not in the, I'll pay to check it out, haha. ;)

The New ‘Pet Sematary’ Almost Had a Different Ending and It Was Closer to the Book

Very nice adaptation. Changes they made were not story altering...well, except _____________. Great sense of dread, much like the original. Just very solid acting from top to bottom. Animal violence was, thankfully subdued, while the human violence was brutal. Had a bad opening weekend. Should be a grower after time passes.

15 Stephen King books that haven't been adapted yet

I don't think The Rage is gonna be adapted soon, haha. I haven't read it, but I know of its reputation and shootings have only gotten worse.

Some of these books are recent. Some are kinda meh.

I have been curious about reading that The Eyes of the Dragon book.

Probably, if done well, I think The Long Walk would be the book I would like to be adapted from this list the most.

So excited to see that they have stuck closely as possible to the source material. The casting has been outstanding and the teases they have given us in trailers makes this straight up a very optimistic view of this!

This was such an odd, melancholy book. It's only a sequel to the Shining in the most tenuous of ways. Looking forward to see how they translate the solitude and closed world feel that I remember the book had. Not exactly cinematic.
